Training the Next Generation of Mathematical Modellers

Email :0

As part of its mission to promote training and research capacity building, CAFHOMEC organized several support courses in mathematical modelling for life sciences. The courses were taught by Professor Samuel Bowong from the University of Douala, a well-known researcher in mathematical modelling and its applications to biological and epidemiological systems.

Held over several sessions, these courses helped participants strengthen their knowledge of mathematical modelling and better understand the main steps involved in developing models for life science problems. Students learned about the formulation of biological problems, the construction of mathematical models, the analysis of dynamical systems, and the interpretation of modelling results.

Through this initiative, CAFHOMEC continues its commitment to promoting academic excellence, supporting young researchers, and developing skills in mathematical modelling for life sciences.

We sincerely thank Professor Samuel Bowong for his dedication, valuable guidance, and contribution to the training of future researchers in mathematical modelling.
